Our Quality Philosophy

We work with carefully selected plantations, distillers, and craft producers across Asia, prioritizing traditional methods, responsible sourcing, and refined quality standards adapted to high-end perfumery and Middle Eastern markets.

Our Supplier Evaluation Framework

We apply a structured internal protocol to all the suppliers we represent.
This framework covers more than 60 technical points and helps us ensure consistent quality, transparency, and reliability.

1. Producer Verification

We review the legitimacy and operational background of each producer, including:

• legal structure & export activity

• agarwood experience

• sustainability & CITES awareness

• GCC export capability

• operational reliability

This helps us work only with trusted long-term partners.

2. Plantation & Wood Origin

Our sourcing evaluation includes:

• Aquilaria species

• plantation structure

• wild vs cultivated material

• inoculation practices

• harvesting maturity

This allows us to better understand the origin and quality potential of the wood.

3. Wood Selection Standards

We assess each grade based on:

• resin concentration

• density & appearance

• aroma profile

• drying methods

• supply consistency

Our goal is to maintain reliable quality across all selections.

4. Oud Oil Expertise

Our evaluation process includes both production and olfactive analysis.

We review:

• wood origin and resin quality

• distillation practices

• aromatic structure and scent evolution

• texture, richness, and persistence

• aging profile

• testing capabilities including GC-MS when available

This helps us identify oils suited for luxury perfumery and demanding oud markets.

5. Export & Documentation

We verify suppliers can support international export requirements, including:

• CITES documentation

• certificates of origin

• phytosanitary compliance

• GCC import familiarity

• commercial export documentation

This reduces operational risk and improves supply continuity.

6. Burn & Olfactive Evaluation

Beyond technical criteria, we also assess:

• smoke quality

• scent evolution

• longevity on mabkhara

• aromatic balance & character

This provides a more practical understanding of each product’s real-world performance.
